I have a 2005 Silverado Z-71 extended cab. It is all factory right now, no modifications. I would like to have some tires that are wider and more aggressive than the street tires currently on there, but I rarely go off-road. When I do, it's on fire lanes and the like... no need for super-swampers. Maybe a leveling kit and larger tires? The size right now is P265/70/R17.

I just got a used wrangler and the previous owner did no upgrades-its the total stock model. I'm ready to start investing in it with big wheels for weekend fun, but its mainly going to be driven around town. A 2 or 4 inch lift maybe?

My car has 4WD. I know when chains are required, 4WD's with "snow tires" are OK. Would mine fall into that category, or do I need to find chains to fit 35" tires?
